When was the last time you gave something without thought of what you would get in return? This is one of the hardest things to do In life personally and professionally – to give without an ulterior motive. Even if you are telling yourself, “I do this because I want to and expect nothing in return.” Is the feeling you receive inside when you receive gratitude or public acknowledgment, not something we anticipate and look forward to?
DO not hear me wrong… I am not saying go through life never looking forward to that emotional high we receive when we make our world better – when we make someone else’s life better. What I am saying is to take a good hard look at the reason you do anything for others. If your initial reason is over even 10% for what you will get in return, I want you to understand you are sabotaging your return.
“Attract What You Expect, Reflect What You Desire, Become What You Respect, and Mirror What You Admire.”
When you do something with great effort but with the misdirected knowledge that you will gain ten-fold in return – it will happen in a less impactful way if it happens at all.
“The Energy We Put Out Is The Energy We Get Back”
It is a proven fact, time and time again when we do things without thought of reward our return is greater than imagined. The catch? If you are doing it for the return, then everything others do for you will be for their own self-gratification. See how that works? What you put out into the universe it returns to you – magnified.
This as I have said in the beginning, one of the hardest mindsets to accomplish – a mindset of a true giver. We are all taught throughout life little life lessons like, “Share your toys and they’ll share theirs with you.” or “The more you give, the more you get.” What they do not say is to do all things with the right heart and mindset for it to work.
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12
When we give without thought to what is in it for me our rewards are more than we can fathom. There’s the secret and now that you know it, is it any easier? Not really, it will always be a battle in our mind especially because the end results of giving successfully is so overwhelmingly powerful the universe will put up roadblocks to see if you are truly ready for what will come in the way of reward to a true giver.
We have to train our minds to be our best selves in all areas of our life without first thinking, who is watching, what will I gain, how will this benefit me, and what will they do for me in return… Just believe, have faith, and know that giving without thought to what you will gain is a fact of life that gain will happen in abundance.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”
Says the Lord of hosts; Malachi 3:10-11
God says that when we tithe it unlocks something in the spiritual realm that enables God to start taking action on our behalf. The first thing that happens is that God is able to open up the windows of heaven and begin to pour additional financial blessing into our lives if we’re willing to receive it. That’s huge!
There are rewards in abundance to be had if we only live the life of a giver of pure heart and mind. There is no halfway in this law of life, you either do it in all things or struggle when you try to do it in only things you can currently afford to give in. Do not be afraid in your giving as your actions here are done for a higher purpose than what the world can deliver. ~K. Kirkland
